  • Brazil, Tanzanian, Harrar

I roasted the Brazil into rolling second crack. The Harrar was pulled shy of SC and the Tanzanian went to the first snaps of SC.
The blend is 1/3 of each (three 600g batches, blended and bagged post roast).

Day 4 post roast is spectacular. Opening the bag brings a nutty aroma followed strongly by desiccated coconut. In the cup, a flat white displays the coconut accompanied by good body with smooth cocao flavour. Combined these resemble something like a Bounty chocolate bar.

I have 1.5 kg in 6 bags and the initial plan to distribute 5 bags and keep only 1 has little hope of survival.

Brazil pulped natural from bean bay. I wasnt expecting these flavours at all but its early days. it should be interesting to see what happens in the next few days.

                      Re: Brazil, Tanzanian, Harrar

Caffeine Dealers version went pretty good actually!

I roasted both the Brazilian and Ethiopian to just on the start of second crack. The Zambian i roasted to just after first crack.

I deffinately got the cocoa aromas and on the palate but i missed out on the cocanut unfortunately.
Interestingly though my blend displayed hints of fruit and nut bar. Choc from the brazil and fruit from the harrar. The Zambian added citrus spice aromas and it transfered into the cup.

I accidently pulled the Zambian a little bit earlier than i had planned but it worked out very well i think. Much better than if it had been left longer...

Note to all...dont take the Zambian too far as it looses its zambianess(?)

                            I like Zambience the best

                            Now a Question
                            I have
                            Brazil Alterosa
                            Ethiopian Harrar

                            No Tanzanian (thought I did)

I do have as an alternative from the general area

                            Ethiopian Gambala Natutals
                            Ethiopian Kuza
                            Ethiopian Limu
                            Kenya Ritti
                            Yemen Bani

Who is going to pick the third part of the blend

Will be roasting b/4 the weekend

I would go the limu, i find its got some similar attributes to the tanzanian bean ive got.
