Fabulous coffee in Melbourne - is it a secret?

Hi all

Just had a few days in Melb and spent too much time in cafes (as usual) trying different coffees etc

Can anybody shed any light on the blend used by the Federal at the GPO? I had all their coffees and just loved the taste.

I would love to try a combo for my Gene Cafe that comes close to their blend if at all possible.

any ideas?

If you are talking about that place under the stairs of the GPO with the big 3 (or is it 4?) group Wega, pretty sure they use Genovese Super Brazil, not too sure what origin beans are used in this though. (Other than Brazil something for the base im guessing...)

Yes - the one with the tables under the arches - all outdoors - with the really small work area.

So do you think its a blend of various or single origin?
