  • Ethiopian Harrar / PNG Peaberry.

Roasted up some Ethiopian Harrar longberry and some PNG Peaberry a couple of days ago just into rolling second crack (separately of course) blended 50 / 50 and It really is something else. Also found that the Indian Tiger mountain blends well with harrar longberry as well, some very smooth and nice mocha notes to be had........ Ray. 8-)

That doesnt surprise me. Both (PNG PB and Harar) are noted for the moche notes when roasted into 2nd...

How about this... Roast the Harar before 2nd crack starts, then blend it with the rolling 2nd crack of the PNG PB... Chocolate blueberry muffins?? :-) Smell the dry ground aroma when you do it... UNREAL!!

Or you can roast them both just prior to 2nd for a fruit salad. The intense fruit will blow your socks off.

Well, I tried this today, 5 days post roast. Took both to beginning of second crack.

You are right about the intensity of the fruit!

Incredible, finished a latte about 5 minutes ago and can still taste the fruit, sweet lemon if that makes sense.

Looking forward to drinking a fair amount over the weekend as the flavours develop and I will try to give a better description.

This drank really well all weekend with milk and today as espresso.

Love the lightness and fruitiness on the tongue. Slight acidity, plenty of crema and very complimentary remarks from the guests.

              Certainly worth doing again.
