hi those are some tricky beans to roast the peru pretty easy to roast and so is the brazil but both of the ethipions are very un even roasts and a percentage of them can over roast unless you drop the roast just on second crack or just before and the dominican also is tricky drop it just before second crack or youl get over roast in a small percentage of beans long story short your peru and brazil will be ok roasted together if you can get your hands on some colombian ,costariccan and some kenya A.A you could put those in togetherwith your brazil and peru and you can take that mix well into second crackand enjoy see ya

Hrmmm sorry, I dont have any of those beans..

When I want to roast beans together I just compare the processing method and the altitude theyre grown at..

Like theres no way Id throw in a wet processed bean grown at 4000ft with a local dry processed bean grown at 0ft. Different densities and moisture and stuff.

The only way to really find out it to try I reckon.. and if youre blending and roasting something that you think might not work, just take the roast extra slow to start with to dry them all out and warm em all up as evenly as possible.

I blended Kenya AA, Costa Rica Tarazu and Ethiopian Yirg and they came up a treat, nice even roast and tasted great.

There seems to be plenty of advice on what beans blend well together...but not so much on what beans roast well together!  I tried my first pre-blend corretto today with a pretty uneven colour!  :-[ Could someone give me an idea on what beans would generally roast well together?

For example, in my current stash I have:

Brazil Santos
Ethiopian Harrar Longberry
Dominican Republic Barahona AAA
Ethiopian Yirgacheffe
Honduras Extra Bold
Peru Grace Estate

For future reference, could you please also give me an idea on what other regions of beans roast well together? 8-)
