    Hi all,

    I have my first roaster arriving in a couple of days from Chris at Talk Coffee. It's a Behmor 1600 Plus. Coming with it are some Ethiopian Yirgi from Andy.

    Does anyone have advice for a complete roasting newbie with these beans?

    I am so excited to nail my first roast!

    The yirg is pretty easy to roast, for me I don't take it much past rolling first crack (maybe 90 secs) but everyone has there own preference.

        Also I've noticed that the yirg has a pretty long rolling first crack so just be aware of that. But saying this, yours could be completely different haha

          Chris from Talk Coffee has recommended*D, P2 and aim for about 17 min duration as a start point.
