    Visiting Canberra + Syphons

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi All,

Im visiting Canberra for the next couple of weeks and am wondering where to go to get a good coffee? *Ive seen the thread in NSW and am wondering what the current places to definitely go are... what to order from there etc...

Also, Im considering picking up a syphon brewer of some sort (Hario, perhaps) and am wondering if any sponsors in Canberra have them and if they are able to demonstrate and sell me one :) (something to keep me happy while Im away from the Wega Atlas!)

Also, any sponsors in Canberra want a visitor?

    cheers,
    James

    Hey James,

two places that come to mind in Canberra are Parvaiz Cafe in the Minter Ellison Building, which is on National Circuit, opposite Rydges. They have fresh roasted coffee and they guys there are easy going and make bloody good coffee. The best I have tasted in Canberra. The other is Kingston Grind who make awesome coffee too. They are in Kingston, but on weekends are pretty flat out, but worth the wait. Make sure you order to coffees in advanced so you dont have to wait long time for the second one.

But Parvaiz Cafe are quick, but dont open on weekends which is a shame as there breaky menu is bloody awesome and cheap. Oh well.
