1 Naval Orange
44 Coffee Beans
44 teapoons of Sugar
1 Litre Bottle White Rum
Poke 44 holes in a Naval orange 1 inch deep with a Paring Knife, Stuff a Coffee Bean into each slit. Put the orange into a Wide mouthed jar with 1 Scant cup of sugar, Add 1 litre of white rum and seal and let steep fpr 44 days.. remove Orange and strain through chesecloth..
I Will do this with local home made Dark Navy rum, Dark Demmerera Sugar and a Valencia Orange
