If the taste is ok, I wouldnt worry too much. Ultimately, you do want a nice dry, firm puck, but the real decider is whats in the cup.
I recently got a new grinder which with a doser Im finding difficult to overdose my EM6910, which likes being updosed a lot. (Basically the throw left problem with the mazzer grinders is making updosing a PITA for me). Ive adjusted my grind and tamp to accomodate, and the shots are very nice indeed. In fact, possibly better than I had before as theyre more like a ristretto, viscous and sweet. But the pucks do have a little water on top and arent as dry as before.
Dont worry too much about it.
