You buy 60mm and turn it in ya lathe... Or contact a workshop wher they do turning and get then to make you the piece you want... But 58mm is too small... It is a rough PF size but a true tamp will be matched to the PF / Machine and it is different... 58.4 58.6 etc etc They are all diferent.. Thus the reason why Greg P ( Pullman Espresso) and others have a great name... They customise their tamps to your machine / basket.

you might even find that buying imperial bars (63.5mm or 2.5") is cheaper than buying a metric 60mm, just because its more commonly used.

also, if you dont have a lathe, be warned that if you are only making a small quantity for friends and family, machinists are going to charge you top $$ because of their setup time.

I buy bar in 60mm round but 63.5mm is a lot easier to get hold of. Even if you could get it in 58mm the finish on the outside will have all sorts of scuffs so youd want to start a bit oversize so you can get the OD right and get a good finish.
