    WOW! My First awesome cup!

    Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    :o

    Frech beans from Gridlock Coffee - check
    EM0480 Grinder dialled in to suit beans - check
    Tamping technique pretty good (even passed the upside down test) - check
    Pressue on EM6190 at top of the indicated SS during pour - check
    30 seconds for 30ml pour - check
    Silky smooth milk at 65 degrees on my new thermometer - check

    Taste - awesome! (or should that read priceless)

    wow... couldnt resist jumping on here straight away - Im sure Ive still got some flaws in my technique (and no latte art just yet) - but Im so excited - this coffee tastes amazing!

    Hey DarkAz!

    Im not sure how youve had your Sunbeam combo but im sure youll be repeating your good coffee with good consistency very soon :)

    But you know what happens then right? Yep! UPGRADEITUS I had a laugh

    Oh how I like to hear that some of the standard checks have been considered... ie. Steps 1 to 6 as identified above...

    And Many would say ya can not do or reproduce on a EM6910.. *I first thought from another machine.. But no... I can see it is a 6910.. *Great outcome in looks and I gather in taste...

    Well done...

    Yep the taste was great - and Ive been able to repeat it too!

    After buying my morning coffees from Con Haralambopoulos for over a year - Ive gained an appreciation of serious coffee. As a result I figured the only way to to id justice at home was to purchase a "decent" machine (rather than my old Mistral Bellini "thing") and research/watch/learn as much as I could.

    So far it seems to be paying off although Ive got a long way to go yet it would seem - consistency is getting better with tamping and a good extraction but my milk needs work (or I switch to a sans cow juice option now that it tastes good!).
