    Vietnemese Coffee - How To?

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi guys,

recently bought a Vietnemese coffee maker - arguable the cheapest way to brew!

i recall Ian Callaghan doing a great step-by-step guide in a BeanScene edition, but I unfortunetly dont have that to hand. If someone has the edition (August I think) and can post it then thank you!

or alternatively, if anyone can recommend a good grind, coffee weight and water volume than i would be very grateful. cheers

(i have researched online, but there is not much)

Love my vietnamese coffee maker. Awesome for camping, imo its the strongest non-pressure assited way of brewing that I have tried. I prefer it to Mocka pot as it doesnt taste burnt. Very simple too. 10-20gm of medium grind coffee and top the rest up with hot water. Wait for it to drip through. drink it as is or add some water to make it longer.

In a nutshell you need fresh ground coffee ground slightly courser than plunger, water just off the boil and sweetened condensed milk.

Place milk in glass and coffee maker on top add around 10g of coffee and screw on the filter press (not too tight) pour water to about 1/4 the way up the filter wait 20 sec, fill to the top and replace cap, allow 4-5 mins for the coffee to drip.

Thats a summary of the beanscene article, never done it but would like to try.
