    Supreme Roasters free beans

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
I was lucky enough to get in on the Supreme Roasters free beans on time.

The mailman made the drop at my house this morning. I think the people at work may suspect I am a secret drug dealer, talking about picking up a few kilos of Columbian, Guatamalan, Kenyan, etc. :)

Anyway, I ended up being a little late for work this morning. I made us some of the Supremo blend this morning on the Pavoni. It was roasted on the 2nd, so it was 4 days post roast. If I was not so damn late, I would have sampled some others too. It was really nice and smooth, and a very balanced and full taste.

I brought some of the Sumatran single origin to work to try with the Kyocera and Aeropress. Also very impressed with this one. Very yummy as a long white.

I am keen to discover how these age over the next few days.

    Supreme Roasters FTW!!

Mine arrived as I was headding out to work. Just in time as only had 100g left at home. Due to a few people dropping in this morning. 14 double shots in two hrs was not planned for.

Thus thes will cover the resting of the roast tonight.

Got him to try my first KKTO roast instead.

While talking about all things coffee he revealed that his mother pre-grinds weekly for the moka pot.
Having mentioned that I grind only what I need in the next few minutes it dawned on him that the first coffee of the week always tasted good but by the end of the week the coffee wasnt as good and sometimes undrinkable.

So I gave him the bag of Espresso Blend that Supreme Roasters sent me.
He was eager to get home and grind some up. *8-)

Roger I didnt at first understand what you meant.
    My bad.
By "pass" I meant that it did not that I would.

    Re: Supreme Roasters free beans

Yay! Mine were waiting for me when I got home.
I have cracked open the Mocha Java first.
Its a little darker than I roast, but gave a nice pour, great crema and held as a canvass for art very nicely.
Moderate body with a hint of smokey flavour in the aftertaste. Not too shabby.
It is however, competing against the Ronini at present, so a hard first up competitor in round one.

Many thanks to Roger at Supreme Roasters for the generosity and the chance to try some of his wares.

    Brett.

    Just cracked the Mocha Java.

Yep, very dark roast - surprised me really.

Lattes for myself and Natalie - beautiful :)

Thanks Roger, that is a REALLY nice blend.

Been drinking the Supremo for the last few days.
Absolutely lovely as a latte and a macchiatto.
Would certainly reccommend this one to the milk drinkers.

    Re: Supreme Roasters free beans

Finished off the last of our freebies tonight.
As stated before, loved the Supremo. This was certainly our standout from the 4 varieties.

We had been drinking the Espresso blend for the last few days.
Again, quite nice in milk. Not too dark a roast and consistently delivered good crema and body for me in the cup. Not really a black drinker myself, but I did have a macchiatto of this one and enjoyed it quite a lot.

In short, if youre looking for some roasted beans to purchase, I think youd do well to consider Supreme Roasters. A quality product from people who obviously like to hear some feedback.

Once more Roger, thanks for the chance to try them out.

    Brett.

My favourite so far has been the Mocha Java blend. Really sweet and smooth as a latte. I enjoyed the Sumatran almost as much. The Supremo was good but roasted just a bit dark for my taste. Tomorrow I will try the Espresso blend.

So far, I have been really impressed. Thanks Roger and keep up the good work.

    Interesting... I found the exact opposite ::) ::) ::)

The Mocha Java blend I had was rather acidic and my wife would not even drink with milk.. Have let it rest for a while and tried again this morning... Bitter ??? Tried other beans and OK.. Thought it might have been me or the machine... Maybe a poor seal or something... Will go and check it out some more...

However we enjoyed the Supremo and the Espresso blend while the other went off to Coffee2di4 as they had just arrived into QLD and were short on supply :D :D.

Thanks Roger and to all at Supreme Roasters

AM, it just proves that everyone has a totally different pallet and thats why we have multiple blends (oh and the fact that we love creating new ones ;D). Everyones Mocha Java came from the same roast batch and some will love.. and some will love not so much ;). The Mocha definetly has a medium acidity though which punches through milk and as a short black has distinct winey and fruity notes.

Thanks for the feedback Ajayro! The Sumatran is great as a single origin and has a great complexity to it. If I said the Mocha Java is half of this it will give you a good idea why you like both so much...now seeing as its a two bean blend Ill let you figure out what % the Ethiopian is. :D

Fatboy. You hit the nail on the head in that while the Espresso is the "Espresso" focused blend we have also tweaked it to be beautiful in milk as well. We believe that each blend while having its dominant strength in certain applicaitons e.g plunger, drip, pour over, espresso, milk should be adaptable to others as well.

Glad to hear everyone has found a blend or multiple blends they enjoy!

Now for the self-plug! Any of the above blends can be bought via our online cart at www.supremeroasters.com.au under "Buy Beans".

    Happy Brewing!

And a big thank you for following up... The 4 blends were a great idea as YES, it allows for different tastes and styles to be had.. As well as passing on some beans; to others that may have been less fortunate... Note: I said some as others were not going to be wrenched from me at any cost ;)
