Roasters Week NEXT WEEK 15-19th of March 2010

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Seems to have gone un-noticed since the !@#$% demise of Wicked Sunday but next week is Roasters Week in Melbourne. http://www.melbournefoodandwine.com..../roasters-week

Seems to be some interesting events on so I was thinking of coming up for a day and a bit to attend some of them. Is anyone else interested or already attending some of them?

Can someone move this into Coffee News too

    thanks

    Tim

Sounds like a good night, I am looking at Wednesday/Thursday at this stage. Bit of a shame a few of the sessions overlap or are close in times.

Still bound to go home to caffinated and bouncy, lucky I am taking the train :D

Yeah there is a lot going on, and look to be some good sessions. Unfortunately, I have to work during the day!

Im doing the thing at 7 seeds tomorrow. The other thing that caught my eye was the Australian coffee cupping, but didnt have time, and I suppose the home brewing thing. Rumour is that Tracy Allen might be at 7 seeds tomorrow.

Im also down for the two day Cup of Excellence workshop next week. (not part of roasters week.) is anyone else doing it? Super excited.

    Cheers,
    Luca

    Seven Seeds cupping was excellent.
    2X tables of 8 samples.
The second table was excellent, with some great COEs, a couple of Geishas but my standout was Aricha 14.

It is great to go to a place with such a passion for coffee

Holiday at the beach at my place over Easter all welcome BYO Hxs machines, only 12+ Syphons and 3 Lever Machines ready for play ;)

The Aricha is awasome and after my last bag of this and a bag of Esmeralda Geisha the Aricha I reckon I prefer as an all round flavour experience.

    Agree.

They had an Esmeralda Geisha and a Kaiser Geisha. Aricha stood out. Unfortunately none left!
