    Lao Bolaven Plateau

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
My sister runs a restaurant in Luang Prabang in Lao PDR (Laos). When she comes home she always brings me some Bolaven Plateau coffee. Its available from various sources, and is always stunningly good.

Laos is one of the poorest countries in the world, and has the dubious reputation of being the most bombed nation on earth. Every single one of those bombs (more than were dropped in total throughout WW2 by all sides everywhere) were dropped by our great and good allies the US. People die at a rate of a thousand or so still, after nearly 40 years, and many others have bits blasted off.

This might be a good place for Faircrack to do some work!!! These people need every support they can get, and on top of it they produce one of the best coffees on earth.

Have a look at CS site-sponsors Obscura.

"Obscura is the sole Australian importer of specialty grade coffee from the Jhai Coffee Farmers Co-operative in Lao PDR. The JCFC was the first Fair Trade and Organic certified coffee co-op in Lao, and works in partnership with Lao Mountain Coffee (Vientiane) to roast, distribute and improve the unique coffee that is produced on the Bolaven Plateau in Laos."

Yes, thanks for that. I should have mentioned them in my message, but Ive been in touch with Obscura and they cant supply for a while. I was selfishly hoping to get someone else to start supplying this wonderful coffee.
