OK, when trying to add more detail I came up with a blank :-)

I am after a columbian Supremo or Excelso, the highest quality available (perhaps one deemed "estate"?). I wish to use it as a tasty base for blends and for drinking as plunger at work.

    Bretts,

We previously brought some Excelso back in the days when we shopped off a list. Some thought it OK and others so-so. I will have a look at what is around. Last time I looked there was only one available.

    Follow-up:
A check today shows there is one available but it is regarded as a standard run-of-the-mill Columbian. Will keep looking.

    cheers,

    Graeme

Well, I might just have cheap tastes.
The Columbian I have had before is simply the Columbian from greenbeans. Probably the one you have previously tried.

    I still like it 8)

CS polled some Columbian Supremo "Pensilvania" a while back and we in this house hold have it every now and then, we have tried a Columbian from a local roaster and the comparison is that the CS variety is far better, so might I sugest this one Bretts...

Interestingly the local roaster actually gets his beans from Greenbeans too, Their beans are frightfully expensive and the cost is passed on up the line to us. However there are a couple of beans they supply that are nice, but nothing compares to what we have here, not only do we have bulk, we also have QUALITY ;D Our local bloke is getting a bit upset that no one is buying beans from him but when faced with buying green beans for $18.00kg I just wonder why?
