Buy yourself a hand held Dyson

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Seriously, I have no financial or other interest in them, but stationed beside a coffee station they are a mans best defence against "why do you always leave such a mess around the machine".

I have one at home and one at work, and they are just damned handy and effective. They are both located right beside the coffee area and keeping things clean and tidy is easy.

While I agree with their awesomeness, their cost is money that could be far better spent on more coffee equipment or beans!

How much more effective and expensive are they than a slightly damp cloth? ;)

They are quite good. Super suction, very easy to pick up things like coffee grounds from corners and tight places.

Ditto I have one at home and one at work and I wouldnt be without them - at work especially I use the dyson to clean out my grinders and to clean the shelves and bench area under and around the machine - a job that takes five minutes instead of at least half an hour

And at home I use em to clean the car as well as cleaning up after the kids - money very well spent - IMHO these devices ARE essential coffee equipment !

based on this thread i went and checked these out last week, looking online the measurements to me made it sound massive, but in the flesh they are quite small! problem was the price, at DJs at least, where they were $348. nice range of accessories though

I also looked at these but bought for half the price the Black and Decker 18v hand vac. It is very powerful, very simple and easy to clean. It also won the Choice shoot-out against the Dyson (yeah I know... hardly an endorsement worth anything) and I couldnt be happier with its performance. I am a bit anal about vacuum cleaning awesomeness... owning not one but 2 Wertheim powerhead systems (youd think my home would be cleaner).

    All the best!

I got mine online from the bay of evil for half retail and my work one especially gets punished daily but keeps on keeping on so long as you clean the filter daily

    Behmor Brazen - $249 - Free Freight
I have a dyson handheld and full size at home, and just picked up a full sized one for work.

A certain retailer that tends to encourage the use of cash for cheaper prices, and also enjoys having a beatles song in their jingle, have a deal right now that if you take in any old vacuum, either working or no, and give it to them, theyll give you 15% off ANY new dyson.

paid around $890 instead of $1050 or whatever it was for their largest one. :D

in regards to actually using the handheld for sucking up coffee bits, I only tend to use it when cleaning the grinder at the end of the week, rather than a daily thing. My wife trusts me whole-heartedly, but prefers that I dont get too much coffee in her dyson :P
