Coffee was once Yemen’s biggest export. Today, only a few families still grow coffee on terraced fields high in the mountains.

For centuries, coffee was Yemen’s principal source of wealth.
Shipped through the port of Moka it was sold around the world.
That is until the Dutch transported a few plants to Indonesia.
Today, only a few families still grow coffee on terraced fields high in the mountains.
To them, coffee is more precious than oil.
