    Di Bella blends - Suggestions?

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Ive not yet had the chance to experience Di Bellas beans (apart from a takeaway cup a while back) and thought it about time to give their browns a shot but looking at their site, the sheer amount of blends they have is dizzying.

So, for more regular Di Bella customers, which blends are your favourite?

    We have enjoyed as espresso:
    Felici
    Ali Reserve
    Espresso Blend
    Nero
    & Decaf
Recently we tried a fantastic new product all natural instant coffee handed to us by Phil Di Bella at Beanology. Torq. Not bitter and we have never had an iced coffee with so much flavour. Superb.
Di Bella always have a daily signature coffee/coffees at their fabulous cafe/roastery in Melbourne.
A great place to chat over bean choices with Baristas who know their products.
    Enjoy Ristrom.

I picked up some the other day while I was in Sydney.* I chose the lighter roasted Dolci Sapori this time, it is what it says, mild and sweet.

I have tried the Modena, Ali and Arnika as well.

None of them are bad, I dont appear to be a blend person but I keep trying :)

Tried Modena, Felici and Cuban single origin.

I didnt quite like Felici as much as the other two...

Felici seems to the most popular, but I like the Modena best of the basic blends, for premium, I just love the Arnika Reserve.

Matter of taste, etc etc, so try a few different ones.

Seconding Modena for milk based drinks, the caramel really shines through. I also love the Arnika as a black coffee.

Re: Di Bella blends - Suggestions?

Now ive almost finished my Di Bella beans i thought id update the thread.

In the end i chose to order some of the Felici, the Modena and the Arnika.

There was a slight hiccup with my order but once i let Di Bella know of the error they responded incredibly quickly and with customer service rarely seen these days, so full credit to them for that.

    Onto the beans.
I enjoyed all three, but if i had to rank them itd be Modena first, Arnika second and Felici third.
As a few suggested, the Modena cut through milk beautifully, the Arnika had lovely aromatic notes yet was quite gutsy whilst the Felici, despite being a little dark a taste for me, was also quality.

Very impressed with all the beans and Di Bellas customer service.

My only slight issue would be the lack of roast dates, which surprised me a little upon opening the bag.

Thanks again to everyone for the suggestions.

I tried the Di Bella Ali Reserve and also got some MTE Bin 35...

Both were excellent coffees, I particularly enjoyed the MTE.

Like Ristrom though, was just curious about the roast date of the beans as there was no roast date on the bags? I suppose it doesnt really matter because I enjoyed the beans both through as an espresso and through the aeropress.

Great customer service and fast delivery too.
