    Mexican - Chiapas or Oaxaca?

    Any chance of some Mexican beans in a forthcoming poll?? Preferably not the jumping bean variety! :)

    In another Incarnation/ Chile Related I had some Pasilla Chiles from Oaxaca sent to me by a Friend in the USA, If the Coffee is anywhere near as Good it will make you Jump for Joy

    mmm coffee Mexicana sounds good...i add my vote for that.....think i might have to go to Chile snobs for the other part though ;)

    It might just be my taste buds but all the Mex beans that I have sampled were floor sweepings!

    Bad gradings, chipped, high percentage of black beans and unlike the Yemen Ugan or Sumatran "ugly roasts" they had very little redeming features in the cup.

    If I ever find an interesting Mexican bean I will poll it though.

    Keep your eyes open then Andy. Ive had some really nice Mexican beans in the last couple of years. Things are getting better and better over there with some nice beans starting to put in an appearance.

    Im sure there are some good ones... getting the Australian importers to go to an origin that may/may not have a winner seems to be the problem.

    Have they sorted out a national grading system yet?
