    Best machine for Small Office

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
We are wanting to purchase a coffee machine for our office - no running water in the actual office but there is a kitchen located close by so water and washing up ok. Not too keen on a pod machine or fully automatic due to cost of pods/quality of coffee. We appareciate quality coffee!!

Can anyone suggest a machine - probably would make around 5-10 (max) cups a day.

    Hello brigby,

Its probably a good idea to specify a budget for machine and grinder. This will make it easier for us to assist you.

No doubt a mod will move your post to the appropriate equipment forum.

    Cheers

    Chris

Perhaps the Lelit Combi might suit your needs?

I really dont see that any single boiler machine is suitable for any office- except a single person office.

A search on boiler priming will reveal why. Cooked elements are pretty much inevitable with a single boiler machine located in an office and a few $200+ repairs will quickly blow out the costs associated with the machine. Even if the machine is written down to nothing in a year, mere cents/cup are being allocated here.

My advice on this budget is the Breville dual boiler and Smart grinder. You will need to scrounge a few coins from under the cushions though ;)

Another alternative is a rental of an appropriate machine/grinder combo.

I have to agree with TC about "No" on the single boiler. With more than 1 or 2 people using the machine it is almost impossible to get *everyone* to use the proper procedures that are necessary to keep it from dying quickly.

Just think what its like trying to get everyone to take care of their own dirty dishes! :o

    Behmor Brazen - $249 - Free Freight
I have a Breville Fresco for home which is not bad value for money if you dont plan on making multiple coffees at once. It has its own inbuilt grinder which saves extra expense, and now theyve brought out the new model with a dual boiler which would make it so much better. (wish I could do a trade in!) But Im pretty happy with the quality of the coffee and milk compared with the cafe machine I use during the day. They are priced around $800 generally so they are reasonably affordable.
