    Got 2.5 up in the Brewing equipment forum, but 1 is a work in progress..
    The Gaggia 2 Group.
    Its a Good Idea but it probably should be run past the Admin, bandwidth etc..
    Perhaps a Permanent link to a Gmail or Flickr account if the site is bandwith Poor, which it could get to very quickly if everybody posts..

    Sound like a very good idea! Hope it will be possible.

    Here is one of my favorite colect. I is an electrical mocca brewer probably made in Germany in the 60´s. Its called FTM unipress and it has a simple termo fuse that turns it off when the temp turns to high. I bought it in a little second hand shop here in Sweden for like 15$.

    cheers /alex

    Hy everybody!!!
    Im so happy that my idea has been took with happyness from users

    thanks to rice...i visited imageshack.us and it appears as a generic photoblog provider.id like to have a familiar place, only for coffee lovers, where we all can post our equipement picture, just for boast ourselves of our own cespresso machines, roasters, grinders

    its more than a simple photo gallery

    thanks

    I am all for the idea.

    I have had a couple of off-line offers for 3rd party storage (which was very nice) but at the moment I think the site can handle the space/bandwidth.

    I propose that we work towards a "real" gallery soon but until then people can upload their pictures in this thread.

    If you can rename them before uploading it should make it easier to move them around. Something like:

    csg-machineName-csname.jpg

    [csg] = CoffeeSnobs Gallery
    [machineName] = Whatever its called
    [csname] = Your CS username

    That should make the images easy to sort into a new gallery and if someone has a query they will see who the owner was!

    Andy.

    Nice one Andy!

    Question: what sort of dimensions would you want the images to be resized down to? max width?

    Great Andy, i think that your decision is the better you could take.
    Before expose my ridicule espresso equipement (you all surely have a great equipement comparing it with mine) i prefer to see other users equipement

    So lets go with pictures!

    and the latest addition (not necessarily for the gallery, just for fun): the ultra-heavy, ultra-roomy, ultra-comfortable, ultra-ergonomic, and ultra-sexy La Marzocco portafilter!

    yeah, its a bit dirty in this pic ... it had a bath right after the photo. nice and clean, ready for some yemen mocha ismaili tomorrow morning!

    Re: Users machines gallery...

    Im a little saddened at the lack of ridiculous looking, American designed but Italian built machines here. As a result, I clearly have to show off my baby. Although I sometimes wonder about brew temp and pump pressure, it looks cool, and dual boiler machines always appeal to me.

    (click for bigger)

    Its as heavy as an elephant as well, which means heat stability is pretty good.

    Hi guys
    allow me to indulge myself here. This week for me marks 20 years of home espresso nirvana. Here is a pic of my set up:
    MDF & Gaggia Classic which Ive used for the last 9 years, and its predecessor beside it, which I pulled out of storage for this special occasion photo. The dodgy looking portafilter in the Classic originally comes from the Baby - it fits better(!) - than the Classics.

    Re: Users machines gallery...

    I wonder how long before some aficionado architect comes up with the idea of a kitchen with a proprieary coffee-making bench area, close to the sink, double adaptors for machine and grinder, built-in board on which to bang the portafilter to settle the dose, wall-clock, handy stowage for tamper, baskets, brushes etc etc.

    And from there...how long it becomes a routine feature in new house ads... kinda like "colour tv" signs outside motels back in the late 70s.

    Or am I day-dreaming?

    Nice machine Tim!!!! Now I thought I might mention that this particular thread has been viewed over 700 times, so come on folks, post in those piccies. Machines of all kinds will make this interesting and I for one am curious as to what machines people have lurking about their kitchens. Anyway, I just want more pictures because reading hurts my brain.....

    The lever eliminates the need for an electric pump..... now if only the same could be done for the heating element, Id have a solution to my constant quest for a machine to use camping etc.

    Behmor Brazen - $249 - Free Freight
    Now time for an old lever set up (pavoni europiccola 1980) plus a newer grinder and tamper.
