Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Gday everyone

After getting home from todays cafe day at WA, I got to work rebadging the little bags of beans so that they could be chucked in the pantry and forgotten about until roasttime. Unfortunately (and stupidly) the tags for the PNG and the Mandheling may have gotten mixed up, and as a result Im not sure which is which. If I knew a bit more about the beans, Id be able to identify them, but I dont. If anyone could help identify for me, Id be much obliged.

One of the beans, which I suspect to be the PNG is a mottley, not terribly uniform (shapewise) bean that has a darker hue to it than the other one, which appears to be lighter in colour, larger in size and more consistent in shape.

    Can anyone help me?

    Pete

The Sumatran are a sick and twisted little lot. They seem to untwist when you roast them, funny enough.

    Thanks guys

re: the sumatran, I was talking to luca just before leaving Angliss and he said that the Sumatran was one of th better coffees he had tried recently so I roasted it as soon as I knew which one it was after getting home - it roasted quite consistently and all the twistiness seems to have come out. Now all I have to do is wait to see if it cups as well as everyone is saying. Cant wait!
