    A road trip to brissy..

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Had the Aunt From Texas over visiting, So I took mum and her up to Sunny Queensland last week..
Leaving Coffs Harbour my first stop was New Italy just south of Woodburn, They have an interesting Museum there with a small selection of Coffee stuff, but of interest was an old Espresso Machine in the Pavilion. I will post some pictures I took when i re size them..
The Machine was the first used in Lismore NSW. "La CARIMALI" Pty Ltd is on the Plate.
    George St SydneyTel BX2220?
Its a 2 Group 3ft or so high with the heads on either side.
Worth a look at if you are passing through. Sadly the Coffee double Ristretto came slowly as the girl was rushed off her feet,
After 2 hours with my Aunt i really needed a Double shot of Grappa with it..
The Gold COast and Brisbane Cafes we ate at had at best Marginal Coffee>.

On the way home we called in at the Plantation near Knockrow Castle just south of Bangalow, Knockrow Ridge Coffee where I had a chat with the Owner Barry Heffernan, He does not sell Green Bean as he Roasts and can Get $24 per Kilo roasted as opposed to $8.00 for Green Bean.
FWIW if there are any Coffee Snobs out there Cashed up His Plantation is up for sale as he is 71 yrs old and wants to start travelling. Good red Volcanic Soil. and a decent roaster thrown in.

I Just love the Smiles of Floriano Volpato and his Wife Flavia in the last pic, Im tipping this to be in the early 50s..

The Quality of the Photo is quite Bad , Its been Blown up to a 3x2 foot poster,
It is not clear enough to discern the Machine..
Of Interest the La Carimali Porta filters in the other pics look much larger than 60mm, Possibly 68mm?

I took the Photo with a Nikon Coolpix 990
3x Optical and 4x Digital, Ok its an old digicam but my brother paid 3.5 k for it 5 yrs ago+ on account of the Nikon Lenses.. IMHO its all the Cam one needs, Id like the 35x Optical Haselblad but shudder to think what it would cost..

Going up the road next week as we have a Plantation Mullaway estate Coffee about 2.5 k norte of me

I have these as 5, 6x8 inch Photos , one is fuzzy so i did not post it .
The best description of a Bad Coffee wins it,
No Names , No Adresses just a description of a really Bad Coffee along the Lines of It tasted like it had been dragged thru a sewer pie for 3 days etc..
Comp is open to all as it costs me a couple of bucks for postage international or local
Text no Photos to keep the bandwith down.
    Ends on the 13th may..
May even do 1st second and third isf If i get too many contestants..

    Behmor Brazen - $249 - Free Freight
And I assume you would have had the experience to make that comparison Java?

Why not say it tasted like a week-old, used Skoal bandit?

I think I just came up with a new use for coffee pods!
