Thanks Dennis, I put my order through Friday and paid by CC using Paypal. Very smooth and no dramas. Very generous offer, thank you. Now, cant wait for those beans to arrive. Mmmmm...
Just 14 of these left - the sooner they go, the sooner youll see our next offer! ;)
Just a reminder - if you pay by direct credit please include your order no...makes it easier to track!
Thanks Dennis - What a great offer!
I trust the Shire blend will be extra special - just like you Shire folk ;).
I put my order in but forgot to add my CS name so for order #1082.... IT WAS ME!! 8-)
Thanks for the great offer. I may have ordered extra today- shipping came up to $20?? Let me know if I ordered wrongly. But well Paypal was quick to absorbed the 20bucks! Oh well, I dont roast, so need to find a roaster in metro Brisbane. Have a good week ;)
Paypal is becoming my worst nightmare. *Its hard to change the paypal setup due to sales of other product lines. *Originally Posted by joerg link=1204241812/15#18 date=1204545556
EDIT: Just checked and discovered you had chosen the 300gm to 3kg shipping method rather than the special offer!
The postage for this offer was calculated using the cost of 500gm express post satchels.
Look out for something extra in your parcel to make up for this. ;)
Also, find a friend in Brisbane to share the costs of postage and it will make our coffee even more attractive!
Dennis,..if you ever need any help configuring Paypal or scripting your web pages to include Paypal and/or the whole darn Paypal transaction process, PM me, Ive had a lotttttttttt of experience using and configuring Paypal as a Merchant and I may be able to help.Originally Posted by cuppacoffee link=1204241812/15#19 date=1204546689
Ok,..sadly..Im really a closet geek and long time user of Paypal and html,..love playing with code and created my website for fun intially..I know..Im sick. *Erm spose Ive exposed my geekiness now, so I may as well go the whole hog and admit I have never bought a womans magazine in my life (what a load of cwap in dem things, except for the cryptic crosswords that I extract from my mothers mags, ;D),..but I absolutely love computer mags.... and...Ultimate Guides - Wireless Home Networking is the lastest mag Im drooling over. * ::) 8-) So yeah.. if you need a geek...
Yesterday arvo I produced the major CS balls up by running out of beans!!!
Hope that mailman brings me some good news today :)
SNAP!.... me too,..but twas this morning and as if that wasnt bad enuff already... for whatever cruel reason the world has turned against me.. the double shot I poured with my last beans was sour and I couldnt even drink it :( . I havent poured a bad shot since the first week I got my CM and I swear I never did anything different grrr. Life sux >:( ;)Originally Posted by Shannon link=1204241812/15#21 date=1204677567
And,.the cruelty continued when I was driving back into my street this morning after taking the children to school,.. I passed the parcel van as he was driving out and my heart missed a few beats,..but what a downer when I saw no parcel was left on my doorstep :(. I know Im not to expect Dennis roasted beans till about the 10th but desperation made me senseless for a few minutes.
Ive got 3 small batches of 2day-post-roast beans that are starting to look good ::),..**Note to self** must roast more often.
Ive done the same in anticipation of Dennis batch, I went and stole a couple hunge grams of a mates beans to keep my going in the interim ;DOriginally Posted by Shannon link=1204241812/15#21 date=1204677567
Only 10 of these left and the offer wont be repeated!
Had promised to post these out next Tuesday, but theyll go this Saturday instead. :)
10.5 hours to go before these are all gone....
Thanks Dennis - cant wait!!!, in fact couldnt wait, I had to go out yesterday arvo and pick up 200g of my fav morgans blend. But dont worry that will be gone by Monday (Tuesday at the latest) just in time for me to arrive home and be greeted by some shire blend :) :)
Hope the mail out goes smoothly for you.
This offer has now ended. Our thanks to all those members who took it up - your order will be posted tomorrow!
My beans artrived this morning. Thanks Dennis, they smell wonderful.
Just about to try some now....
Got your delivery this morning, Dennis. Looks (and smells) great.
Beans have arrived and smell great. Cant wait to try them later today.
Beans have arrived, hoorray :-).
Dennis I just roasted the Daterra Sweet Collection and they came out very very nice. Even roast, just to the first snap at second crack. First crack was 7min 20sec, second crack at 13min20sec which is when I pulled the roast.
See attached pic.
Beans arrived safe and sound ;) Thank you Dennis :-* They smell divine and taste mmm yummy. I couldnt help myself and ran to make a cup the moment they came through the door.
Mine arrived too in the nic of time... as you know from reading in my Supply & Demand thread ;D. Best brew Ive ever had (Yirg). How can I top that? Thanks again Dennis!!!!
My beans arrived this afternoon. Thanks Dennis.
And now the Yirg is already gone ... well it will be once I drain this doppio flat white Im enjoying ... it was lovely though, smooth and spicy, almost some pepper, even through milk. Delightful.
Many thanks Dennis!!!
Got me a nice little package upon returning from work this arvo :)
Trinity was very interested in why some of the beans were green - so a short lesson in coffee cropping and process ensued, all eagerly taken in as only a true 5yo coffee snob can!!! oh how Allison is going to hate me when my daughter is able to drink the stuff if this is her interest when she is only alllowed to smell it ;D
Onto the beans - 2 singles of yirga and 1 of shire, way over my arvo quota, but I couldnt let it go.
Shire is quite mild, which I really liked, I am coming to the conclusion that my body does not like strong coffee, even though my pallette is craving it more and more. Every now and then I dig a real hit, but overall if it is smooth without the bite I am more than happy.
Cheers Dennis, and I hope to enter the world of roasting sometime soon thanks to the greens.
Beans arrived today after the long weekend. Will cup up tomorrow with the traditional cupping method. Dont think 100 grams will be enough for multiple traditional cuppings and espresso!
Well, I guess if it gets a thumbs down then 100gm is probably too much. If its a thumbs up you can always get more. ::)Originally Posted by Wushoes - David S link=1204241812/30#36 date=1205234528
Either way, will appreciate the feedback, and thanks for peoples comments to date. If nothing else, AU Post dont seem to have managed to be able to break anything with this mail out! ;D
I didnt get home til late quite late last night, and the coffee had to be had Dennis.... so just the one double before bed last night, but this morning hit up the Yirga with great results!
So I have green beans now, looks like Ill have to get a roaster to match ;)
Nice to see that the greens I sent are inspiring some people to get into home roasting, though maybe as a supplier of roasted beans, not the smartest way of promoting our products!
Im at our local shopping centre this week and have some greens on display near those that are roasted, figuring people may never have had the opportunity of seeing greens before. Have had to stop quite a few people from taste testing greens...would be interesting completing a claim for the dental damage under my public liability insurance. ;D

Hahaha ;D, dont tell me youve never stuck a green one in your mouth just to see what it was like ;) :-X
Mine arrived today - one of the perils of living on the West coast it takes a day longer (as those who purchase our tampers know)...
Well the Yirg is the first cab off the rank....
Beans are beautifully evenly roasted.... with just a few specks of oil.... smell delightful and the espresso.... well it is fantastic!!!
It is certainly the best SO Yirg Ive tasted and Ive roasted quite a bit in both the Corretto and the HT..... great flavour smooth and even the subtle flavours are clear and clean...
Well done.... Keep roasting to this standard and you will do very well Im sure.....
And thanks again for your generous offer.
Enjoying my first double latte Shire Blend as I type and it is glorious!!!. The extraction was cut a little shorter than I would have liked (think I packed too hard) but nevertheless.. the taste in my cuppacoffee this morning is so much better than anything I have roasted myself. It just confirms to me again that not only are Dennis roasts done to perfection,... my roasts suck! :( Im retiring the popper back to the pantry to be used as a popcorn maker again.
One thing I was pleased to see with both this roast and the Yirg (all gone whaaaaaaaah!) is that the beans have tiny little specks of oil here and there. Its good to see this for myself, knowing that the roast was done well, because Ive been aiming for this amount of oil in my roasts, but was never sure if was really a good point to aim for.
Well done Dennis..lovin your beans.
mine still havent arrived (I live in Brissie). Should I be worried, seeing that even the Perthians got theirs yesterday.
Or maybe our postie is a coffeesnob, too.
I have enough beans roasted for one more cup of coffee tomorrow morning, then Im running out (didnt roast in anticipation of delivery). Well, well see what tomorrow brings.
I wouldnt worry mate..... For some reason the mail to the Sunny North travels by Camel Caravan, always dead slow :-?Originally Posted by pluggulp link=1204241812/30#43 date=1205401466
Picked mine up today from the PO here in Penguin...thanks Dennis!
with all the coffees i am making for the caravan-park people i have run out much quicker than i thought and yours will help keep the Bott running until mine have de-gassed enough!
they smell divine, cant wait until tomorrow morning... ;)
PM me with your real name and addy and Ill reply with your express post no. If they arent in the mail by tomorrow (so much for overnight express) call your post office as theyre likely to be holding them there!Originally Posted by pluggulp link=1204241812/30#43 date=1205401466
Probably cant bear to part with them ::)Originally Posted by cuppacoffee link=1204241812/45#46 date=1205403488
We got ours in Lismore yesterday Dennis.
The postie was hoping to just leave a card.....so he could enjoy the aroma during the rest of his run.
just tried the roasted yirg this am and it was wnoderful. first whiff of the bag i caught roasted nuts, and in the cup, was, well, bloody great. great crema and mouthfeel (tried some black before some piccolo action and just loved it.
and im in a similar boat to remy re pulling out the popper for the greens..)
