controlled flow spout from Coffee Parts

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Has anyone toyed with one of these?, what purpose does it serve? is it simply to solve dosing and distribution problems in relation to flow? Or can it be quite useful in some circumstances? Your thoughts........

More for if your bench/group isnt level. If you have issues with distribution then it unlikely that you would be consistently bad enough for this to help.

LM style spouts divert all the coffee down a chute first before splitting to eliminate distribution as an issue.

I have used them before and found them a pain in the but to get right.

BTW Giotto spouts use the same principle as LM they are just back to front.
