Ristretto from my Via Venezia :)

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hey guys :)

Didnt know where else to post this, so I thought this might be the right place... Its just a video of me from this morning, pouring a Ristretto with my Via Venezia. Im relatively new to the coffee scene, so dont flame me if technique is shocking etc, but Im always open to advice :)

Let me know what you think :)

Nice video mate but you should press the extraction button right after you put the group filter in the group head as the top layer of the coffee can get burnt. :)

Thanks mate :) Yeah I know I should have pressed it... You can tell I was about to, then realised the machine wasnt ready :p I was too busy thinking about whether the camera could see everything, to realise I put the group in too early :-[

Thanks mate. I get it sent straight over from the UK. Only takes a week, and is still cheaper (with currency conversion AND postage), than some local roasters :|

You MUST try Andys Espresso WOW, 16 odd different beans in the blend and years in development, it is amazing! And roasted only 600 odd ks from Adelaide! *;D

    Good vid too mate! ;)

Ill give Espresso WOW a go as soon as Ive gone through my current stock of beans... Im running out of space, and trying to find every excuse to make coffees :p

Currently have a new bag of Square Mile Winter Espresso, some Coffee Barun beans (Cant remember what they are...), and a bit of Espresso Royale. Also dont know what the Espresso Royale beans are. Its on the tip of my tongue, but Ive forgotten :p

My next video will be of a shot pulled with my new home made bottomless group handle :D Cant wait to finish it off... Ill start a new thread for that bad boy ;D

It looks like a Bodum Pavina espresso glass - plenty of places online sell these. You can also get them at lots of homewares stores.

Sorry for the late reply! Ive been on the Gold Coast for the last week or so... Very hard work :P

Jakes is right, they are the Bodum Pavina espresso glasses. I like the look of them, but you soon get over it, when one shatters in your hand ::)

I much prefer my little Japanese Sake cups, which have much more character, are much stronger, and are a fair bit cheaper ;)

Also, I arrived home from the GC today to find my new Compak K3 Touch waiting for me in my room! Very exciting times :D
