Yes! Not that expensive to buy the machine but the ongoing costs of capsules is huge. Do some reading on in the price range you are after and narrow down your range a bit (I assume you are in Spain?).
new here so please excuse the lingo fail.
am looking at my first, entry-level benchtop expresso maker. we get inundated with the nespresso type machines here (the ones with the capsule), but they seem like a wasteful way to make coffee.
should i ignore this range of coffeemakers?

thanks for that. capsules seem like a huge freaken waste and no surprise that the nespresso shops occupy some of the most *expensive retail space here (and i dont plan on helping them pay for it).
i am in spain (barcelona) so not all brands that you can get are available here. for instance ive been recommended sunbeam as a decent entry level brand but they dont sell here.

(bosch, delonghi, krups, saeco) and im sure i can find some italian brands in the shops. perhaps not all; italy/spain arent particularly linked up (not like italy/oz).
I have an Expobar (Spanish).
