Coffee Hit - change of owner / manager???

Does anyone know if theres been a change within Coffee Hit in recent times, like the management or owner? Specifically the Doncaster outlet.

My initial thought was to PM them but they havent logged on since 2009 so I didnt think that was such a great option!

I think you might find one of them now working with David Makin at Axil Coffee Roasters. Email or phone would seem like the GO :)

One half of the original pair is still involved with the Doncaster store, whilst the rest of the crew changed (and changed for the better, in my view) about 7-8 months ago.

Im not a huge fan of the remaining original guy, but the rest of the group are doing some excellent stuff and are about as friendly as a cafe crew can be.
Theres a bespectacled lad there (always forget his name) who is capable of producing some of the best latte art youll see.

BTW Theyre definitely still connected with the Hawthorn store, too, because up until recently their roaster was broken so the Hawthorn store was roasting all their beans for them.

Interesting you say that because about 6 months ago David Makin was spending a day or two behind the machine at the Hawthorn store.

I dropped into the Donny store this morning on my way to work and noticed that both the original guys were back there together for the first time in about a year.

I had a coffee but it really lacked the usual punch and was quite milky, which was a little disappointing.

I hope the usual guys are back soon because whilst they were all young and relatively inexperienced, they made a mean brew and always showed passion and pride in the cup.

I hope the "regular" guy I remember comes back soon too. And their single origins.
