    Coffee drinker demographics

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Who drinks real coffee? I have ever really thought that hard about it - seems to me that everyone should. But when it comes down to it, who REALLY is the demographic that loves real coffee? Baby boomers (55-65), or is it the younger set? 20-35, 35-45, 45-55?

I want to write some stuff and it sets my tone. Any thoughts welcome!

    Ahoy captain and welcome!

My first thought is that you would need to define real coffee....good luck with that!

I wonder if you should consider more than just "age", things like racial background, education level, etc can also be relevant if there is going to be a poll, or any other research.
I also agree with defining "real" coffee a bit better, most of us would have a reasonable expectation of what you intended, but some might take the definition too wide, or too narrow, in what they consider to be real coffee.

    Re: Coffee drinker demographics

Just wondering what age "demographic" drinks REAL coffee?

I am new here so if Im messing this up - be nice & forgive me!

"REAL coffee" is defined as "beans" that is NOT instant & not Nespresso pods - beans that you grind - or maybe buy ground* :( - Espresso, plunger - as long as its REAL.

Id expand this for ethinicity and the like except I have no real idea as to what Im doing with this technology!

Dad had an espresso machine in his cafe back when I was born.

    I lived above the cafe.

Thanks so very much to all that joined in the poll I ran on "who drinks real coffee".

48 people responded and I sincerly thank all of you!

I THINK that the results can be seen by all. If not let me know and Ill figure out how its done!

You may want to consider the fact that conducting a poll online may possibly skew your results towards a younger average age.... I am aware that "older" age groups are increasingly comfortable with, and users of computers and the internet, but it would still be relatively safe to assume a higher level of use at younger age groups, which could impact your results.

For the record, I am 30.

    Hmmm...

Ive been actively involved with computers since the late 60s - Firstly with Analogue systems controlling CNC production machinery and then from the mid 70s onwards various Digital (mainframe) systems, Minis, Micros and PCs.

I wouldnt consider myself unusual in this regard, by the way.... ;)
