    caffeine saturation in our coffee

    is there a simple way to measure caffeine content in gram/ml or someone already worked out there is only so much can be desolved in 30ml of water.

    2. Take my Pulse.
    3. 100> BPM = small amount of Caffeine
    4. 150> BPM= medium amount of Caffeine
    5. 200 BPM = Stop ..call 000…way too much Caffeine :D :o

    From a chemical point of view, just because x mg can be dissolved in 30ml of water, doesnt mean that an espresso will contain x mg. (I will assume you meant mg as g/ml is extremely unlikely.)

    I think caffeine content also depends on the type of beans used, how they are roasted, and how it is prepared.

    I would be quite worried if your HR is above 100 after a small amount of caffeine.....

    I only drink coffee when out jogging ;D

    Impossible question to answer without testing every shot as they will all be different.

    A quick Google shows values from from 58 mgs up to 185mg for a double shot or espresso ::) higher for robusta than arabica

    I was hoping there is a simple device we can use to measure caffeine content in coffee similar to measuring ph in swimming pool.

    You can get strips (D + Caf Test Strips) that will tell you if the drink has more than 20mg of caffeine in it but wont tell you how much more.

    They dont work in coffee that has milk or sugar in them wither

    Nope, theres no simple, inexpensive method. You need access to specialised instruments and a Lab....
