I know I should have posted this before I headed down. *And please let me know if I am repeating what has already been asked in another thread.

    - Batch (roaster:- Supreme, South Blend, another custom blend; Jason C is the owner is supposed to pull good shots but Ive never had the pleasure and the other baristas are also very good)

there are a couple of places in the balaclava rd east st.kilda area that do good coffee Gattaca put heaps of effort into their coffee. I hear that "the wall" and the cafe as you walk down the train station ramp are very good (I forget the name) although I havent been to either. also there is the coffee company across the rd that roasts and sell their own beans.

I forgot the name of the coffee brand that "gattaca" use. It is "aroma" for those that care. ;)

Amanti, I think "the one with aroma." Coffee companies seem to struggle to come up with a non-generic tagline ;P

Havent been to gattica in a while ... it was pretty bad last time that I was there, but I keep on hearing good things. Last time that I was at Wall it was pretty good. They use Genovese.

    Cheers,

    Luca

    PS. Nim; you smell too.

Aroma Coffee is a roaster in Mascot, Sydney.

I got a tour of the place a few weeks back when I decided to pick up a bottomless PF Id won on that auction site.
I was offered some roasted beans in place of posting my parcel.

Strangely, that is where I ran into Renzo for the first time.
The second time was a short time later when I ran into him again at Coffee Alchemy where Id gone to show off my PF to Hazel, who had been encouraging me to get one.
Renzo was sure I was stalking him.

Were you carrying around your club that day? That would of been a sure sign you were stalking him. ;)

I need to get me one of those naked portafilters one of these days. I will have to ask the maintenance man a college if he will let me loose in his workshop for a while to convert my spare p/f to a naked.

No I wasnt but I was brandishing the PF.

Be careful how you ask the maintenance man.
Asking to make something naked in his workshop might not go down too well if not explained properly.

    Behmor Brazen - $249 - Free Freight
I thought that I should post up the map to St Ali for reference, as it can be a bit tricky to find. Until I travelled around a bit, I presumed that all of the good places were hidden in every city ;P You can take the 112 tram in the St Kilda direction from Collins St in the city. It will turn down Clarendon and your stop is at York St.

    Cheers,

    Luca
