    Sydney Coffee Guide

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Is anyone else very dubious of this book?

I bought it a year and a half ago. So far none of the top beaned places have been worthy of such a top bean rating. (except for campos and single origin)

IMHO, the issue is that the book is not written for CSers- rather for Joe average who will appreciate a well made coffee but is not very likely to be fresh coffee savvy. We are not their target market. I guess if it were for us, it would be something more like a leaflet! *;) ;D.

Bottom line is that the bush telegraph (i.e places like this) will always inform us of where the best coffee is to be found...

Alucard, do you really think that your comments are appropriate? Ill give you 10 min to modify it...and then Ill edit it. I would think it may be legally risky to publish such suggestions in public.... :-?

I got my guide for free at the Aroma Festival. I noticed a lot of good quality places were missing. Its definitely aimed at the average Joe. It does highlight, however, the lack of decent coffee in my area.
