    Gritty question

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Just a quick one. Is the grind too fine if grit is lodging in some of the perforation holes of the basket?
    Thanks

    In a perfect world, yes.

In the real world all grinders throw some "fines" and these will lodge in the basket--and some will undoubtedly pass through the holes and end up in the cup.

If the cup is heavy on fines then either you are grinding too fine or the burrs are mis-aligned.

At the same time, if the coffee tastes great, don't sweat the small stuff.
