    Tell me about Espresso Wow

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi all,

I've recently experimented with roasting my own green beans (on the cheap with a popper) but I found I couldn't get them to the same quality as other roasted coffee I'd bought before.

Really keen on a Behmor roaster but need some cash first!

I just ordered 500g of Espresso Wow and would like any feedback/advice on anything related - grind/ sitting time etc.

    Appreciate your input!

    Hi AB,

Not to change the subject, nor take you away from buying a Behmor which i think would be a great little investment. But have you thought of a Corretto style setup atleast until you get some cash together for a Behmor?

you can make one pretty cheap and mod it to how you like.

    regards,

    Chris

Is that the drill powered spinning thing? <That's how little I know about them.

Read a thread last year but I've forgotten everything, will have to go back and have a look!

    Thanks for the idea.

The corretto is a make up of a heat gun (which you may find to be the most expensive part) and a bread maker. You use the bread maker to agitate the beans and the heat gun to roast them. With some reading on here and some thinking outside of the box you will be surprised how quickly you can put it together. Depending on bread maker you buy you can achieve roast amounts up to 500-700g per roast. All this aside abehmor would be well worth the investment.

    regards,

    chris
