Latte Art Smackdown Charity Event in Geelong
The Gordon will host a Latte Art Smackdown competition on Thursday September 26 to help raise funds for River’s Gift, a charity funding SIDS research.
The event is a competition where the entrants will compete for the coveted “Golden Jug”, however the main focus of the night is that it’s a fundraiser as well as an opportunity for local coffee industry people to get together. The event has been very well received and we are set to have a great competitor representation from cafes across Geelong and the Surfcoast.
Two talented local entertainers, Nathan Plumridge and Erin Howard, are providing music on the night and there will also be an exhibition of poster art on display at the Gordon Gallery from Alain Le Quernec, a French design luminary, who is renowned for his poster work.
The night kicks off at 6.00pm in the Gordon Gallery (Cnr of Fenwick St and Gordon Ave. Geelong) with a fundraiser auction followed by the competitor draw and then we are into it. Baristas will battle it head to head until we end up with a winner. Drinks at bar prices with all proceeds going to the charity.
