    Pesado 58.5mm tamper

Bought one at Mice. Have been doing back to back shots keeping espresso machine, grinder and grind constant vs. my previous RW tamper which also had a great fit in my vst basket and i previously thought of the RW tamper as great, and the difference is incredible. The shot has a significantly darker crema, it pours much thicker and the taste has much more flavour. More sweetness, and a 'bigger' and more interesting flavour. Such a worthwhile upgrade.

Other thing is i use a bottomless pf and the extraction hits the showerscreen simultaneously and forms a single 'cone' much faster than with my previous 58mm tamper

So your previous tamper was only 58.0mm? I'm looking at upgrading to a Pullman in the coming months and having him match it to an 18g vst.

I love the Pesado. Piston fit and great feel.

I have both. Much prefer my pullman over the two. Feels much nice in the hand. Difference in the cup is not noticeable between the two.

I have a Pesado Tamper and Basket, i must admit i don't like it. I expected a basket and tamper made by the same company to fit very tight and not have any coffee grinds untampered round the outside of the basket, but i was wrong.

I have a VST basket and a Pullman Pergtamp and that setup is MUCH BETTER than the Pesado...

That's weird as my Pesado is a really tight fit. Just as tight as my oldie - the Pullman and VST.

Did you get a Pesado/IMS basket with your Pesado tamper?

So tight it's just of scraping the basket walls. See pic .

I only got a Pesado Basket and Tamper in February and was utterly disappointed. I have a VST and Pullman Big Step Tamper and it is much tighter than the Pesado.

I love the feel of the Portafilter though, it's very nice and the Zebrano handle is great! but the basket and tamper certainly don't seem to be made to fit together....

My Pesado tamper scrapes the sides of my VST basket. Any better fit and i wouldnt be able to depress the tamper.....
