Unfortunately that company charges $12 for freight making it rather expensive.

You do know how to use Google don't you? A quick search yields thousands of listings from Australian suppliers/re-sellers and... if you truly do not want to cover the cost of postage for someone to ship some to you I might suggest that a visit to your local Coles or Woolies is in order.

Seriously... do you really need someone to spoon feed you the information AND do comparison shopping for you?

Or if all else fails, use normal chocolate powder and drink it with the lights off so you can't see the colour....

Given that's it's not chocolate, add some cocoa butter, powdered milk, sugar and a little vanilla to your coffee and there ya go. Vanilla flavoured milk coffee with extra fat.

You've left the OP in a dilemma Chris. Where will he find a supplier of powdered milk who will deliver free to Sale?

Wow! Didn't expect to be bullied on a coffee forum FFS. If you don't have anything to offer or add of value how about ignoring the post? Hope you all feel better about the humiliation.

It's a pretty brutal forum this one... But stick it out and you get to know people a little better.

I'm pretty sure that the "Warm & Fuzzy Coffee-type Beverage Admirer's Society" is down the hall and to the left

Seriously now... most of us on the forum are busy enough with our own careers and/or lives yet happily enough take valuable time out to help a fellow Coffee Snob with legitimate queries. However, having said that, when someone comes along who can easily enough find the answers to their simple questions with the tools readily available for such things, it can be a wee bit bothersome. The forum helps those who help themselves.

And... I was being helpful... both Coles and Woolies sell "White drinking chocolate" which saves you on any postage issues

Unfortunately Coles and Woolworths do not sell White Chocolate Powder in Sale. I also checked to see if they sell online and they don't.

Yes I do know how to google and have looked. I did have a go to place to buy but they no longer exist. I was simply asking as I thought someone out there may have a recommendation which is both good in taste and of good value. Wasn't expecting the flack that I received from a forum which to date has had some pretty good advice and input. Obviously people are not that busy that they can flame someone if they could've simply ignored the post.

Maybe buy a block of Milky Bar chocolate and grate/powder it up in some manner or form. Mortar and pestle perhaps?

I find Milky Bar to be the best tasting white chocolate for the cheaper chocolates (i.e. not the European stuff) so it might work ok.

Yes, Woolworths stocks that product but I think OP is meaning that his store in Sale VIC does not stock it.

Also, do you know how hard it is to google specifically for the Woolworths store in Sale, any combination of words just gives the current sales and promotions at woolies haha

    White chocolate powder

Sale has been considering changing the city's name for this very reason.
There is a jarrah white chocolate mocha powder sold in the stores if that is the one you guys are finding but it has instant coffee mixed in it. Also works out to be $24.44 a kilo.

Maybe for online sales woolies will only sell it to you if it is available at your local store on which case OP would be out of luck. Mycuppa sell 400g for 8.50 plus 6.95 postage

    Ummm... no

If you had bothered to look up the details given to you... namely Jarrah Hot White Chocolate at WOOLIES you would discover that it has nothing to do with instant coffee

    Sheesh

    Not available in Sale.
I also just plugged in a search with Melbourne as a location and if it is the one you are talking about works out to be $28.60 a kilo.
    Great suggestion that.

Zumaray, in the efforts to please the masses , do you have an iga over there. In Perth we have iga which is an independant grocer ( that equals woolies and coles haha ) they sell Vitorria white choc mix for about 4 bucks a tin .

OK, so maybe your first question should have asked for something 'cheap'? You did specify postage to Sale, but won't pay for it?

If you buy 4 of the 750gm packets that were suggested first, get them shipped together and you should end up at about $20/kg - is that good value? What is good value to you?

What is good value for good white choc powder anyway?

    There's one called Arkadia $9.50 for 400gm - 16 serves they say

There's one from Gloria Jeans for $11.95 285gm

And then what exactly do you do with it, does it go in or on top of your coffee? OR do you just add it to milk and drink it on its own?

We should have a Hall of Fame for threads like this...... and the God Shot one. (WTF is a god shot any way, I mean, really?)

Zumaray..... you're misinterpreting nearly every post.

helping, whilst taking the mickey at the same time. This is the internet, it's also

Coffee snobs, get over it, have a laugh. Have you thought about a white chocolate syrup?

Seriously though. If you're still there, I'd be grating blocks of white chocolate. Lindt works really well. Often on "sale" for $2 per 100g i think ?
I'd also trust the mycuppa suggestion as well.

Grate Lindt white chocolate into portafilter, fill water tank with full cream milk and aim for a brew ratio of 3:1?

Not if they're dried first. Just pop them in an oven (don't forget the grease proof paper) at 175 for 30 min's. They come out just like croutons do from bread. They will crumble under a rolling pin or you can grate them no problems..
