Searching for strong malt flavour
Long time reader, first time poster.
I've been roasting on a Behmor for a couple of years, but I've never managed to find one particular flavour that I really want to include in a blend. I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.
I tried a V60 coffee a few years ago in a cafe in Perth. It had a strong, distinct malt finish.
Immediately, in my mind, I was transported back to when I was six years old, sitting in front of the telly watching early morning cartoons, eating my breakfast cereal.
I'm sure it was a Colombian, but I have no idea what region or farm.
I realise that flavours will change from year to year, but if anyone has tried a single origin with that strong malt flavour, I'd really love to hear about it.
Reminds me of many of the Cuban coffees I have experienced.
