Oh boy how I'd love a Rick-modded Linea. Thanks for sharing DB79!
Well this is my learning machine. Practicing with Aldi beans at the moment. And if you guy think these beans are bad I can't wait to taste some of the beans from the roasters on here
The work rig.
My pride and joy, Kees van der Westen Mistral series 1, no. 32 of 116 and restored / customised by me with input from Kees. Next to it is the 'Bond Villain' mark 1 grinder, a BNZ conical flipped upside down and reversed. It's early days but the start of another cool project!
Very very cool

Christmas panettone makes grinders more fun... and misc. brew equipment in the background. Pour over anyone or the rare Bialetti brikka ?

Must be just about Summer time again and then time for mizu dashi cold brew immersion
With chocolate hazelnut biscotti anyone?
Ah geez Matt...
You've gone and made me drool all over my keyboard...
Wish I had some of that biscotti to take my mind off the cleanup.
To very recently, this....
Very happy camper.
The gs3 will also be modded, Strada parts are on the way as a start. Then the cosmetic changes will begin later .
I'm not thrilled with the compak e8 yet because of its clumping, reason being I had been single dosing with doser model super jolly. speed and aesthetically though the e8 rocks.
Spose I could add some pics of my new grinder here for anyone that hasn't seen it. Bought dirt cheap and cleaned up very nicely.
And side by side with my K8 Silenzio.
Coffee Central in our household
When I was in the UK playing around with grinder refurbs, I think I managed 5. I had my old sunbeam grinder, 2x Mazzer SJ's, Ceado E7, and a La Cimbali Max all going at the same time. I usually had 2 or 3 spare Gaggia Classic refurbs and could hide them all behind the couch so my wide didn't realise...
I'm really going to miss my eBay bargain hunts!
I thought I'd dig out all the coffee making paraphernalia I've got tucked away in various cupboards at work today. Thought I might need to consolidate. In the end the only thing I've brought home is the hand grinder as I use everything else.
My daily setup
Gaggia Classic: Passive preheater box added internally, PID and integrated shot timer with a half completed volumetrics module perched on top, IMS screen and a brass dispersion plate.
Mazzer SJ: Lasercut lids and grind tray, lasercut grind adjustment gauge, 3d printed throat insert to remove dead space with a custom weight to match diameter, lens hood hopper/puffer, cocktail shaker doser mod with cleansweep and schnozola.
Champion shots, but still wanting to upgrade... And yes, that's a sacrilegious sugar bowl on top!
And just for fun, My 'Change of scenery" setup that I use when I want something more involved on the weekends...
La Pav EP and Ceado E7: The Ceado is basically that same as a Mazzer SJ, except lovely construction and adjustment system. Again, laser cut lids and grinds tray, custom made insert to remove dead space in the throat with an integrated adjustment gauge, Plus the usual lens hood, cleansweep and cocktail shaker mods. I haven't had a chance to get to my wood lathe and
make some handles for the La Pav yet, but its on the list!
This won't win votes but wanted show off the brand new purchase, my Compak E5 grinder. It was a close choice between it and the M4D
My vote is +1 for Hypergears awesome coffee bench and setup.
Would think of voting Chris' white Slayer and Compak grinder but he might have an advantage as a dealer.... ;P
So many nice machines people have here

I vote for myself. Only because I went through hard labour for 2 months customising the cart.
+1 for "Hypergear"
Thank you to those who have voted for me.
Deserving mate, that cart is awesome.
+1 for Hypergear.
I hope you don't mind but you've inspired me with that thing so going to try and build something similar.
+1 magic matt - mainly cause I'm jealous on the Syncronika and Titan duo
Can I please split my vote?
1/2 a vote for Chris and his very sexy Slayer/Grinder Combo &
1/2 for hypergears cart - absolutely stunning.
.....id just about get a 'woody' if Chris dropped his Slayer on Hyper's trolley, I can tell you !
Can we vote twice? If so, +1 for Alchemist. Classy.
Can't attach pic for some reason. Post number 22 first page.
I'll vote for TimmyJ, best bang for buck setup.
My setup, VBM Domobar Jr with La San Marco SMFK.
Ok if Chris can't take a vote, i'm changing my vote to Hypergear for that epic coffee cart.
+1 Hypergear ... liking the inspiration for coffee bench. I'm hoping to rope someone in to help make one out of old pallets.
+1 LeroyC for a clean grinder at a bargain price.
Is it too late to take the competition to a separate thread? Or just go off likes received? This thread was originally supposed to be "pics only"
Otherwise, +1 Alchemist
