    Which Brita C150 option?

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi Guys,

Can someone point me in the right direction here - I am confused with the several Brita C150 options available.

We only renovated our kitchen about 12 months ago and I think I'd be in trouble for making additional holes in the new bench. But it's possible we may move some time in the near future. So for now I just want to be able to open up the under-sink cupboard and use a jug to get filtered water from the Brita (for drinking and to fill my machine). At some stage I would like the option of plumbing and/or having a filtered water above-sink tap.

What would be the minimum product option to go for here - the PLV kit?

C150 Water Filter Kit with PLV for Coffee Machines :: COFFEE & ICE FILTERS ::...

What do you connect to the outflow (where you would normally plumb a machine) to pour water into a jug - some sort of tap? Can you upgrade this later with whatever additional stuff you need for a drinking tap, etc?

Or would I be better off just going for the complete kit and putting away what I don't use now?

C150 Kit with direct install T to machine :: COFFEE & ICE FILTERS :: WATER...

    Thanks for your thoughts.

    Paul

You can get a three way brita tap to go where your one is already on the sink and with the c150 hooked up, you then can choose filtered water to fill up your machine.

Thanks Logga, but not really an option. The wife won't part with the mixer we already have. I did see that though and thought it could be good.

Well if she's in love with the mixer you have, we better leave that where it is. If you just want to fill your machine up and maybe plumb in later then you should look at the c150 plv kit and put a tap on the end where it usually connects to the machine, but if you have a crystal ball and want to drink nice water in the future then your other option is the one.

Or you could do what I would do and wait for her to go out one day and just drill a hole, connect it al up and see what happens.

    Thanks Smee,

It would be a good option, but I'm not sure it's plumbable.

I'll give it some more thought.

    theres an old saying,

"Wimin, you can't live with them, you can't live with them". A man waltzing around his own castle with no parking space for his espresso machine is a sad sight indeed.
