    Ims shower screen

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hey snobs, splashed out on some new gear recently. Snagged some new burrs for the k3 touch and an ims shower screen for the bezzera bz10.
Was a bit of a nightmare getting a few of the screws for the burrs out though.

Anyway, seasoned the new burrs and installed the new screen... Ran a few shots, even with the grinder basically touching burrs it was that fine I was still getting about 70ml in 20 seconds.

Don't think it's the grinder but the screen, seems like there's wayyyy too much water coming through. Uploaded this video to demonstrate https://youtu.be/hXr6Q0i1vBE

    Any ideas?

Looked at the video and to me it looked like some water was escaping from the top of the shower screen. I have the IMS screen on my Cellini and don't have any issues. You do get a well dispersed flow but the pressure pushing the water through is the same as before, so the actual amount of water has not changed it is more evenly distributed. I can't comment on the grinder as I have never used a K3.

    Ims shower screen

    Hi Owlee

Just wondering but does the IMS screen specify BZ10?

I'll double check but only remember seeing e61 and La Marzocco as options.

By the video some water does appear to be coming out between the screen and block.

Do you still have the old screen handy?

Probably worth going back to what was working to rule out the grinder.

Yeah, it's the right one apparently. Double checked.
Turns out it was a bit warped on closer inspection. Getting a replacement.

    Cheers guys
