Brita Maxtra+ Limescale filters
I couldn't find these mentioned anywhere so thought i would mention them and see if anyone has used them or general thoughts...
They supposedly have ion exchange pearls and remove 50% more limescale than the standard maxtra filters.
Could these be a reasonable alternative for those who don't have plumbed machines and can't put under bench filters in?
I'm in Melbourne with reasonably soft water and am thinking this could be a good option for me. I also like to drink filtered water anyway, so having the jug on the bench wouldn't go astray.
Looks like good thing if your machine is not plumbed in.
They're certainly better than nothing, and if you replace them more regularly than recommended (i.e. at about half-life) they'd probably do a reasonable job in a place like Melbourne.
