AMA with Crema Coffee Garage
Hi Coffee Snobs!
For the next 24 hours please feel free to ASK ME ANYTHING! Crema Coffee Garage is a coffee roasting company based in NSW and QLD, Australia. We roast our own unique blends, single origins, supply commercial coffee equipment and cafe supplies, sell home coffee machine and grinders, and sell related alternative brewing/coffee brewing equipment. So we are well-versed across the coffee industry.
We will do our best to respond in a reasonable time frame and give you a satisfactory answer. So shoot, what would you like to know?
What are you roasting your blends on in Newcastle?
What are your roast times like? Time from first crack start to end of roast? eg: Altitude blend?
Are you hiring any part time staff?

The first crack is generally determined by the temp (generally happens between 190-200 degrees), and average time is at the 12min mark (so another 4mins on average from first crack to finish).
Regarding a specific blend like Altitude, we actually roast the 3-4 origins we use in a blend separately and then mix, you can apply the averages here. If you want to know more and you're local, you are always welcome to come in and have a chat with us!
We are currently not hiring any staff, but we are expanding over the next 12 months so keep an eye out on what we have going on or you can always send us your resume with your list of skills for us to keep on file! We're always keen to find new talents out there.
All the best, Crema Crew!
