    3 Phase Fun

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hey all. Anyone out there do much tinkering on commercial machines and can explain to me what would be involved in stepping a 3 phase unit down to 15amp single phase? Is it essentially the heat element that's sucking all this juice and would need to be switched out? Or is there more to this great mystery...

Is there a particular machine you have in mind or just generally? If there a specific machine post a picture of it's name plate and plug, and any more info you have on it.

It's definitely 3-phase, tis an old Rancilio 3 group. The pump is external but powered from the machine, however the power lead to the pump is just a standsrd single phase 10amp plug.

You would need to look inside it. See how the phases are split.
