It would be a shame if this company goes under.
The humble Moka pot makes a good coffee, a hell of a lot better than a capsule machine, just takes a little longer.
Mine gets used every now and then, just to have a different style of coffee.

    Hmmm...

Sad news indeed. Love my Moka Pots and so does our son, so hope they can keep on manufacturing.

I love my stainless steel Carmencitas, not so fond of the aluminium "gets its own flavour regardless of the beans used" type like the Bialetti. Having said that, I hope Bialetti survives.

Bialetti also has another problem in EU - the Rommelsbacher is an automatic (microchip controlled) "medical grade stainless" version of the same technology. It is pretty intolerant of different grinds because it automatically adjusts to them. It doesn't even need tamping.

Just fill the main unit with water up to the mark on the jug, fill the grounds up to the mark in the basket, put the basket in the jug section, screw the top on until the marks align, place it on the base (think of the separate electric kettle type of base) and hit the go button. When it stops gurgling pour out a perfect cuppa every time. I haven't used any of my dozen or so Carmencitas since I bought the 2/4 and 3/6 cup Rommelsbachers... If I am on the top of my game I can equal the Rommelsbachers, however I cannot get a better cup out of the manual ones.
