    Survey on Starbucks Coffee

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
We are a group of university students from Denmark, who are seeking respondents for our survey on Starbucks Coffee.

As we have gathered, Starbucks has failed to succeed to position itself on the Australian market. This is what sparked our interest for writing our thesis on this particular matter.

We are reaching out to you specifically, as we are interested in hearing the thoughts and opinions of you 'Coffee Snobs'.

It would be a tremendous help to us and we would greatly appreciate your answers and participation in our survey.

    Survey link:
    https://www.survey-xact.dk/LinkCollector?key=S5PRTM8H1N3K

P.S. If anyone would be interested in answering some more in-depth question, feel free to contact us through this profile

I'm sure this is genuine, however it worries me when an unidentified person in a first post asks me to visit an unknown website for the purpose of a survey, or anything else for that matter.

You do make a fair point! But i can assure you - whether you believe me or not, that it is a genuine survey (not any virus or whatever it could be)
Of course you do not have to click it or anything, but the survey is completely anonymous.

Sorry for the slight 'dodgyness' that has occurred. Good day to you

Survey not required. Their coffee is shite.

They arrogantly entered a generation old, educated, espresso market with their "coffectionery" offer assuming that they were going to tell us how it would be. They were easily floored by the superior offer of any nearby, competent mum and dad cafe which cared about coffee and service.

Their only hope was to look for the fledgeling demographic- kids, visitors from other countries with non-existent coffee culture and visiting US fans who didn't know any better.

I checked out the link then was prepared to start the survey. I managed the questions on page 1 but page 2 was beyond me, because I prefer the coffee I make at home. Being retired so not daily in a business district, we have coffee out about once a week, often with trepidation.

It may provide the students with a shorter, more effective answer to say:
    - I have never been to Starbucks in my life, in any country I have been, so if they made the most magnificent coffee I would not know. Mea culpa.
    - In general terms, I avoid recognisable chains, or anything associated with a petrol station or supermarket, for coffees, pastries and the like.
    - In order of priority I like coffee, served in a glass or china cup, in a pleasant location, quiet, outdoors, or both.

I agree completely with this, except I did do the survey. A reply here will have no effect on anything but as part of an academic survey which may get published it might. Give the kids a break, they are trying to change the world.

Though I would have preferred if they had targeted why so many pollies deny climate change...

To avoid the inherent caution of the CS Community at large, it would probably have been better to run this past Andy (the Site owner) before posting up. It's also courteous...

As you're located in Denmark, if ever you bump into Princess Mary, you may be able to ask for some insights - https://www.northernstar.com.au/news...offee/2881851/

Bit mean. No hint of a scam here, and no inducements. Where's the famed Aussie hospitality?

Wasn't aware of that, thanks for pointing out.

Maybe Aussie coffee has achieved legendary status in Denmark!

Just trying to point out that some out there are. In that link, first line of second paragraph does say many of these are legitimate. As always the judgement as to how much information you provide to those you don't know is up to you but can have significant ramifications if you get it wrong. There's a current round of a#@*holes ringing people saying that they're from the ATO (Tax Office) and unless they make immediate payment (over the phone) an arrest warrant will be immediately issued. Suprising how many people fall for it. Unfortunately alot of these are elderly who can ill afford it. Coming from a generation where trust generally wasn't abused, I suppose it's understandable.

Oh that's easy! Because they're paid to!

I'll give the survey a crack. I did give Starbucks a chance many years ago, it was truly awful, basically tasted like acidic, bitter mud...

I got one of these literally minutes after clearing immigration in Sydney after a 14hr flight from San Francisco. Brain wasn't functioning properly, so it took me a little bit longer than it should have to realise what was going on than it should have, but the Filipino voice on the other end of the line should have been my first clue (I've yet to see the ATO outsource their calls), and being told there is an arrest warrant out, and that they said I owed $7892 for a tax return I have not actually yet submitted certainly did wake me up to the scam. I told them to call my accountant, and that being the ATO, and seeing as all my ATO matters go through my accountant, the ATO must surely have their details...

Another good way to deal with them is to say that the phone line is really bad and that you can't understand them properly, followed by "You have my mailing address so please send a letter". click.

I think so - that is what happened to me.

It saddens me that of the 5 coffee chains I can think of off the top of my head, four of them are truly awful.
