An good listen if you're curious about decaf. I wasn't but I listened anyway! Still never drank any but maybe it's not as bad as I think...
There is good decaf, for example WOW Decaf from here. I was driven to decaf because of Atrial Fibrillation. There is possible risk that caffeine may make AF worse, or even bring it on, and my cardiologist recommends against caffeine (and alcohol, but hey). I do not drink decaf in coffee shops because I doubt it is any good - interestingly, I find a big variation in caffeine in espresso (I only drink espresso) judging from the effects on me, especially palpitations. I suspect this results from varying amounts of Robusta in the blends, where possible I drink single origin.
As good a reason as they get! Alright, I'll give it whirl next bean order so I can enjoy a night time coffee and sleep. Might help with my alcohol consumption too! I suppose different beans/roasts/brews will change the amount of caffeine. Maybe being more sensitive to caffeine would highlight this for you. Like a shitty superpower
