Coffeesnobs bag opened during transit
The roasted beans I ordered have popped open in the top left and right corners of the bag possibly by transit, only about 10g or less were spilled out into the satchel. My question is, will this have any effect on the freshness of the coffee when they're only 1 day from roast date if that.
I'm not too worried just wondering if it will speed up the "age".
They will be fine, they were green yesterday and it still amazes me that I roasted, shipped and you have them 2000km away the following day.
Get them into a sealed container and you should have no ill effect.
Sorry to hear about the seal, I just had an email from someone else's order from yesterday's roast who had the same problem. Our #1 sealer is waiting on parts and I'm using the backup. It does a good job but not as good and its a fine line between burning the top of the bag and sealing it. We would normally notice when it 3/4 seals and seal it again but I obviously missed at least 2 bags yesterday, sorry.
I'll be more diligent next roast day and hopefully the better sealer is back online soon.
Okay good to hear, I assumed it would have little effect but thought some professional feedback would be good for future.
The turn around from you was amazing, thanks again for your great work.
Not just roasted beans, AusPost is killing it....
Was looking forward to 7.5kg of green beans this weekend...these should have been here Tuesday, tracking states "item damaged and awaiting assessment"
Ouch, that's unfortunate to hear. You might have to be extra careful de-stoning your roasted coffee.

To help out a local CS'er, If you need a kg or so to roast this long weekend
I'm happy to loan you from my 'reserve bin', if that assists...
If you want to, Pm me and I can let you know what I have, and work out how to get it to you...
In the meantime hope the courier gets their derrier into gear.
That’s a really kind offer thanks! Love this CS community.
