    Macca's Coffee Ad - UK

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
A clever compilation of all cheezy coffee ads for Maccas UK.

The coffee in their grinder looked okay but check out the poster of coffee beans behind the counter at the end. Shudder.

What come out of the automatic machine and the end cup looked nasty too! Great ad otherwise.

I'm pretty sure it means they are really fresh if they are all oily like that.

They might even be roasted by Mocopan in Australia for McCafe worldwide?!!??! I know lots of components at McD here are sourced from a single place on the planet (could never workout why we import hotcakes sugar syrup from the USA, I'm pretty sure we have the capability locally).

Yup, the shinier the beans the fresher they are don't ya know!

It's the week of wave action that mixes the one drop of Maple Syrup with all the other ingredients to give it that special Macca flavor!

I didn't understand the bit about the "trendy artisan taking coffee way too seriously".
How can you take coffee "way too seriously"?
I think this may be their problem.

    Talking about nice shiny beans...

I walked out to the letter box late last week and there sitting on top of the letter-box in the sun was .....my beans from CS.
These have always been parcel-delivered to the door so I was a bit puzzled.
I contacted Aust Post and lodged a complaint, received an acknowledgement, then a follow-up advice that said the matter was being investigated but nothing since.
Fortunately the beans were not there long enough to sweat and they look fine but I wouldn't want Aust Post to make a habit of it.

I expect it was delivered by an AustPost contractor, pretty common these days for anything bigger than 200g to get contracted out. Hopefully your local contractor gets a polite nudge from post about what's should happen with precious cargo.

We don't want them roasted twice!

Speaking of sun roasting or not sun roasting: https://adstandards.com.au/cases/201...er?ref=0486/17

    Barista Bros Iced Coffee
    ISSUES RAISED
Food and Beverage Code 2.1 (a) - Misleading / deceptive

    DESCRIPTION OF THE ADVERTISEMENT
The advertisement features two men talking about how they make Barista Brothers beverage so delicious. Coffee beans are see being treated like royalty with their own plane and deckchairs. The beans are manufactured to make the drink and then the milk beverage is poured into a glass of ice. The last shot shows the various flavours in the bottles and the words "the deliciousness is in the detail" appear on screen.

    THE COMPLAINT
A sample of comments which the complainant/s made regarding this advertisement included the following:This is factually incorrect, coffee needs to be roasted at high temperature in an oven roaster and this ad is implying that their coffee roasting in the sun is a product benefit. It may mislead people to think this is a healthy/natural process which is incorrect.
So people would believe that coffee was roasted that way?
