    Bunnings selling coffee beans

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Just sitting at Bunnings while the kids have a play on the playground. I just looked over to the Hardware Cafe to see that they are now selling coffee beans $29.90/kg. I donít want to go and look.

I would have thought they'd start selling packs of raw sausages first

Isn't this taking the whole "category killer" bit just a little too far? I had a laugh

    What's Bunning's coffee like?
Is the cafe an in-house thing or do they franchise it out?

The Bunnings cafes are run in-house, the coffee is from Suntory. At some Bunnings sites it appears the cafe staff actually rotate between the cafe and the general shop floor.
I just serviced the cafe at my local Bunnings today, and have a few more Bunnings sites to do over the next week.

For anyone that is surprised to see Suntory mentioned as a coffee supplier- Suntory recently bought more beverage companies in Australasia. They bought Frucor for cold drinks and the tea and coffee part of Cerebos-Greggs for hot drinks. So one of the biggest coffee wholesalers in this part of the world is now essentially owned by Mitsubishi (not auto, the other one), along with many other big hot, cold, dairy and alcoholic drinks brands you probably know.
